Rating by category:
The male receptionist was rude and unfriendly. A complaint was made to the Hotel Manager re his attitude and behaviour. We later found out that other PD participants that also stayed at the Hotel received the same rude, offensive behaviour from the same male staff member.
The location, view from the room, the cleanliness, the staff were lovely. Place was really clean, which was really appreciated. Staff always helped, front of desk staff to staff who attended to cleaning of our room.
Convenient for our purpose in Going to Brisbane
Nice city view with a small balcony
Modern and friendly. Just outside city but within easy access of all amenities.
No view but did'nt matter as we were out most of the time.
I would expect the room should be better decorated as the rate was not low.
The size of the room. The sheets were crisp and the pillows and mattress perfect. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
The hotel lifts use a key card - but new arrivals were not told this - and we saw many frustrated people unable to use the lifts - front of house staff should explain this to guests.
The saltwater pool.
The street was quite loud and we felt it was overpriced compared to other places we have stayed. We also felt that the hotel could use a few more updates(popcorn ceiling).
convenience to medical facilities on wickham terrace
car parking facilities very hard to manouvre
close to city, comfortable and reasonable rate
The security keys for lifts were unreliable.
Modern hotel near to the shopping area but quite a long walk from the river side hospitality area. Clean with moderm new furnishings and really helpful reception staff.
The fact that you can walk in the beautiful, adjacent gardens and that it is so close to the city.
Paying for parking, it should be part of the tariff at a flat rate.
Generally the hotel was clean, comfortable and most of the staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful.
I did not like the arrogant attitude of a male staff member when checking out who treats mature aged women as old & rude when they query a descrepancy. I notice other mature guests had the same comment. Disappointed that trying to get gluten free food late afternoon was such a problem for 1 female staff member and when she did find out GF toast was available it took 30 minutes to arrive.
Modern room decor, flat screen television and pay tv. Good room service menu, prompt delivery and quality food.
The car park is challenging for all but compact vehicles.
Cold. The motel was cold, with no way of warming the room, as the temperature is pre set, to about 21 deg. The restaurant was also cold, the concertina doors were left wide open on a cool night, and there was no way to get away from the breeze. I will not stay there again in winter, maybe in summer.
The staff where all very polite and seemed at ease, not tense or stuffy as if they had some kind of point to make.
